Operational Buyer

We are looking for a 'Operational Buyer' to work in accordance with our client who is one of the leading companies in automotive industries.

Responsibilities;
•Support program PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) timing by sourcing the parts on time for flawless new program launch
•Work along with STA (Supplier Technical Assistance) team for meeting all program and ongoing quality metrics & addressing warranty related issues
•Develop Q1 work plan for identified Non-Q1 suppliers and drive for Q1 approval (The Q1 Certification is awarded to Ford suppliers who demonstrate excellence beyond ISO/TS certification requirements)
•Develops strategy to achieve cost, footprint, and scale benefits
•Actively work in identifying cost reduction opportunities, localization plan, work with suppliers and internal stake holders for TVM (Total Cost Value Management)
•Delivers optimal commodity cost by applying cost estimates, benchmarking, competitive bids and market intelligence as tools
•Negotiate & settle Raw Material price escalation considering economics
•Execute price settlement in WIPS system (means ‘Worldwide Integrated Purchasing System’- Ford owned procurement system)
•Support supply chain, MP&L (Material Planning & Logistic) for meeting 100% production & service parts requirements
•Negotiate and settle commercials for capacity enhancement within approved budget
•Identify tooling refurbishment and ensure refurbishment done on time to avoid line stoppage
•Ensure parts supportability to Ford customer service department
•Participate in Team of Four meetings (x-functional meeting to discuss and align the sourcing, cost, timing of new parts)
•Engineering changes handling, problem solving, risk analysis and management
•Understand part cost drivers & Job1 price settlement (Job1 means start of mass production) in line with prevailing economics
•Negotiate and settle supplier claims without delay
•Continuously monitor supplier financial status and develop work plan for distress suppliers

Qualifications;
•BSc, Master's or Ph.D. Degree of Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
•Advanced level of English (both written and verbal)
•No military obligation for male candidates is an asset
•Minimum 1-3 years experience in purchasing function for Operational Buyers
•Good command of MS Office programs
•Valid driving license and flexible for traveling
•Ability to work with global cross functional teams
•Excellent business acumen, result-orientated in challenging and adventuring environment
•Ability to understand the nature of supplier business and technical capability
